Mr. Aiton, Mathematics master, Bablake School, Coventry, 3 May 1955. Although "Joe" Aiton was a brilliant mathematician and astronomer, something had gone wrong at this point, to the amusement of the class. Joe was not always given the respect he deserved.

Weaver and friend, Chemistry lab, 1955. The late Rodney Weaver had a passion for canals, train spotting and Cornish beam engines. Fellow pupils showed enthusiasm outwardly, but always with good humour. Weaver later became a respected authority on his interests. He was one of life's true eccentrics. Proud to have known him.
